Course Summary

If you want people to hear your music, they need to see it first.

We live in a visual world and we have come to expect visual images that represent the music we love. The good news is that video production technology is finally affordable and accessible.

The impact of releasing a music video is huge. Especially for a local artist, who is fighting to gain exposure and marketing opportunities for their music.

In the words of Bill Gates, “Content is King.”

Whether you're posting a backstage interview on Facebook or dropping your new music video on YouTube, the demand for video content is growing every day.

This hands-on course will take your through every step of the process from storyboard and concept design to final edit and post production.

+ Full Course Description

One of the best ways to promote your music is through a music video.

Today’s technology allows anyone to create quality digital video and distribute the content using a variety of channels including a web site, You Tube channel, or other online distribution method.

This same content can also become an essential part of an electronic press kit (EPK). EPKs are the preferred way to promote a band to prospective venues, agents, managers, and labels.

This content can even be dumped onto a music CD or DVD. This allows fans to buy the CD with ‘bonus’ video footage.

The bottom line is once you create the content, the channels of distribution are almost endless.

The Music Video Production course takes you through the process of producing a music video from concept to finished product. The main focus of this course is to develop the skills and proficiencies necessary to shoot and edit your own video without spending a lot of $$.

Students learn how to white board and develop scripts during the pre-production process. Expert instructors will show them how to create a video concept from scratch and build the necessary resources to make it happen.

We will also show students how to edit and formulate great video production using Final Cut Pro – the industry standard in video editing software.

Students will get a chance to shoot, direct, edit, and produce a music video from beginning to end. The whole process is done using basic equipment including digital cameras, basic lighting, green screen, and plenty of innovation. The result is a finished music video.

Our expert instructors will show you how to create a concept and turn it into a reality using all the latest video production, lighting, and editing technology.

This is an amazing course that is intensely valuable for any artist, promoter, or label who wants to publish their own video content.
